EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

This class is designed to help childcare providers prepare for different types of disasters. It includes training staff on topics related to disaster preparation.  The course includes scenarios for centers and home daycares to use to prepare for disasters as well as the importance of having disaster and evacuation plans.

. Upon Completion participants will be able to:

• Explain why childcare centers should have a disaster plan
• List the types of disasters most likely to occur in our area
• Develop an emergency plan for their daycare center
• Make and practice an evacuation plan for their program
